Richard J. Anderson is a painter, nature and landscape photographer, avid vintage Halloween collector, Halloween poet and the author of 12 books. He is not only an expert on vintage Halloween postcards, but has a long history of buying and selling a wide variety of antique Halloween ephemera. He was born in England and moved to the American Southwest early in life. He grew up with a deep appreciation of the seasons and the beauty and harmony of the natural world, which he expresses in his art, writing, photography and paintings.

He is the author of the popular books, Reflections of Sedona, a Sedona, Arizona pictorial; A Victorian Halloween: Bewitching vintage Halloween postcard art from the early 1900s, Haunted Harvest: a collection of eerie poems to celebrate Halloween. and The Heart of The Vortex: a Sedona Vortex guide. In addition, he is also the author of 17 books under several pen names.
